IMDb Plot Synopsis: Nerdy reserved bookworm Needy, and arrogant, conceited cheerleader Jennifer are best friends, though they share little in common. They share even less in common when Jennifer mysteriously gains an appetite for human blood after a disastrous fire at a local bar. As Needy's male classmates are steadily killed off in gruesome attacks, the young girl must uncover the truth behind her friend's transformation and find a way to stop the bloodthirsty rampage before it reaches her own boyfriend Chip.

My Review: Jennifer’s Body surprised me a little as the tone was much funnier and weirder than I had imagined. And in a good way.
This film is an interesting mix of teen romance movie and a horror and it’s that horror element that made it fresh, original and gripping to watch. Amanda Seyfried shone as Needy, Jennifer’s best friend, and while you were on her side throughout the introduction showing the audience that she is in prison made you view the following events with a slight edge.
There was an eery creepiness throughout which the makers took full advantage of, subverting a few cliches, keeping you on the edge of your toes. Adam Brody’s guest star as the lead of a new indie band was hilarious and the involvement of the band, while freaky, was just a stroke of brilliance!
In fact all the actors involved were pretty stellar and the ‘lead’ Megan Fox proved that she does have more talent than just her looks. She was geniunely scary in places and even more amazingly switch to cute and sarcastic in a flash.
Overall it was a really great film with the interesting combination of genres adding to the originality. And the nice little twist at the end made me love it even more!
Score: 8/10
